Fasttel Introduces New 'Cult' Entry-Phone Product Range (19/5/2010) Stand F4, CEDIA Home Technology Event 2010 Belgian developer Fasttel raised the bar to a stratospheric height in the entry-phone market with the introduction of its new Cult product.
Housed in pearl-blasted aluminium and with the module and optional receiver designed in black glass, the unit is stealthed and jet black at rest until awakened by contact. It can be mounted on or in a wall, or operated as a standalone unit. This top-range functionality goes with its looks as well. When the owner receives a call at the door, the visitor is put on the screen with textual indication which door and which push button were used. MP3 files can be used as ringtones and assigned by door and by push button - indeed Cult also doubles as a picture viewer and media player - while for security purposes picture and speech recording of all calls is stored on a microSD card. Multiple cameras, both analogue and IP, can be monitored, while on the telephony front the unit also naturally features all the capability that would be expected of a modern smartphone. Also a connection to each domotic system is possible via the integrated LON bus and optional input/output relay switch.
