Legrand Promotes its Arteor Wiring Device and Home Automation Range (27/5/2010)

Legrand will be promoting its wiring device and home automation range, Arteor at this year’s CEDIA HTE Show. The newly launched range is the first to offer complete co-ordination across wiring devices and home automation products and is aimed at system integrators, interior designers, and specifiers.

From stand-alone switches through to the latest technology in home automation systems – including lighting, temperature control, sound diffusion and door entry – Arteor offers an incredible array of functions. Add to that its perfectly matching, integrated wiring devices and the range really does represent the ideal choice for home automation projects.

The dual option of BUS (SCS) and radio (Zigbee) frequency home automation solutions means the range can be easily interfaced with other systems. Arteor BUS technology products have the advantage of being able to communicate with other systems such as DALI and KNX, while the Arteor ZigBee products allow for communication where cabling is not possible.

The range also includes a host of innovative new products, including fully customisable lighting and scenario controls, a 10inch multimedia touch screen, and a universal dimmer capable of dimming all types of light sources, including compact fluorescent lamps and LEDs. Meanwhile, its unique bevelled profile gives the illusion that the switches and sockets are floating on the wall, reminiscent of flat-screen design.

Arteor is available in 17 different finishes, ranging from simple yet stylish white moulded products through to sophisticated and innovative materials such as woven metal, leather, tattoo, brushed steel and wood. The breadth of this choice is intended to ensure the range offers something for every area of any installation from high-end, high-profile locations such as modern living rooms and boardrooms through to more functional areas where products are less visible. Innovation is also clear to see with the rockers that are available in two different forms – round and square – to facilitate intuitive use.
