AWE Brands Land Impressive Haul of Trophies at Home Cinema Choice Best Buy Awards (4/6/2010)

Following its success in winning the Best Trade Supplier and Best Training Initiative categories at this year’s CEDIA Awards, AWE Europe the UK’s top CI distributor, has enjoyed another winning occasion with its top brands - Panasonic, Philips, Denon, Onkyo, Pioneer and KEF – all triumphing at the recent Home Cinema Choice Best Buy Awards 2010.

Among the stand-out achievements at the glittering ceremony were the Panasonic PT-AE4000, which emerged victorious in the Best Projector £5000 and under category, and the Philips Cinema 21:9 which scooped the prize for Best TV 46in and over. In the AV Receiver / Amplifiers category, it was a clean sweep for AWE brands with Onkyo’s TX-NR807, TX-NR3007 and Denon’s AVR-4810 taking the top spot in each of the three price bands. Meanwhile, Denon’s DVD-A1UD player was singled out for recognition, winning the Special Reference Status Award.

The KEF C Series AV5 won the Best Speaker System under £2000 whilst the Pioneer EX Series beat off stiff competition to land the Best Speaker System over £5,000 prize. There was more glory for Panasonic with its success in the Design Excellence Award for its TX-P46Z1 screen and its DMR-BS850 Blu-Ray recorder in the Best Digital Recorder section. To complete a memorable day, Philips Technical Director, Danny Tack, the driving force behind many of the company’s breakthroughs, including the Cinema 21:9, was inducted into the Home Cinema Choice Hall of Fame.
