Extra Vegetables and Channel Vision Technology Announce Control4 Driver for Channel Vision’s A0316 On-Wall iPod dock (17/6/2010)

Extra Vegetables is pleased to announce a Control4 driver for Channel Vision’s upcoming A0316 On-Wall iPod dock to be shown at the CEDIA Home Technology Event at Booth D12.

The on-wall iPod® dock is a neat and cost effective way of adding iPod functionality to a Control4 system. The dock is compatible with all recent iPods and the iPhone®, providing both charging and metadata feedback to the Control4 system.

“When we started designing our new range of iPod docks we were excited that we could integrate with a broad range of home control systems”, comments Darrel Hauk CEO of Channel Vision Technology. “Control4 support is an important part of that strategy and we are pleased we will be able to offer our customers this integration upon the release of the product.”

The iPod dock installs seamlessly into the Control4 system and includes the ability to select music, playlists and video content from the iPod. The Now Playing screen feature displays cover art retrieved from the dock. Audio, control and power is all achieved over a single Cat5e cable making installation simple.

Release of the product is slated for July 2010, and both the dock and driver will be available from Extra Vegetables for shipment to Europe. In other territories dealers can purchase the dock from their usual Channel Vision Technology distributor and the driver from the Extra Vegetables website.
