denro announces its ONE Room Manager room control device is nominated for Top German Design Prize (16/7/2010)

The denro ONE Room Manager room control device is nominated for the 2011 Design Award of the Federal Republic of Germany, the country‘s highest distinction in the field of design. The award further establishes denro AG's strategy as a leader in design oriented building control technology.

With the denro One Room Manager you can control lighting, power, temperature, ventilation, shading and home entertainment systems from one convenient location. This represents the prerequisite for more healthful and energy-­-efficient building use. And is why advanced building control technology is increasingly being used in office buildings, hotels and private homes.

"We feel that our strategy has once again been validated, in that we deliberately offer products with clean, practical designs that are very user-­-friendly," says Dr. Robert Hecht, CEO of denro AG regarding the nomination.

This nomination for the German national design award is a special honor for denro AG considering that very stringent official judging criteria are used to select candidates for the prestigious award. Companies must have been nominated by the Ministries and Senators of the Federal States or by the Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. Products will only be considered that have already achieved national or international design recognition. The denro ONE Room Controller met this condition as the winner of the 2010 Light + Building Design Plus Award.

The denro ONE Room Manager was designed by the design firm, Ottenwälder und Ottenwälder. "Design must not only be about the aesthetic aspects, people and ease of use must rather be at the center of the design concept. The denro ONE Room Manager is a perfect example of this, wherein form and function support each other," explains Max Ottenwälder regarding the philosophy of the design firm.
