Colorado vNet Introduces PMA-1100 Outboard Power Amplifier (31/7/2010) CEDIA US Expo 2010 New PMA-1100 Outboard Power Amplifier Offers Clean, Powerful Performance In A Compact Half Rack Enclosure Colorado vNet Corp., a leading developer of whole-house control solutions, is introducing a new stereo power amplifier too complement the company's innovative lineup of easy-to-use multiroom home audio systems. The new PMA-1000 gives Colorado vNet dealers a convenient option in specifying multiroom installations for larger zones that require more amplification. "Our dealers asked us for an outboard power amplifier that complements the appearance and high performance of the Colorado vNet line," says Petro Shimonishi, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Colorado vNet "With the PMMA-100, they get a serious stereo amplifier with Colorado vNet quality, and a product that protects them with limited distribution and no competition through Internet sale s. It's a win for both our dealers add for the end user." Perfect for larger-sized rooms where more amplification is required, the Colorado vNet PMA-100 is a two-channel unit that lives up to its PMMA moniker, which stands for "Pretty Massive Amplifier," by offering a robust 100 watts (50 Watts per channel). The unit is easily controlled by Colorado vNet's new touchscreen models, which have a line output for power amplifier expansion. The PMA-100 can be operated in stereo or bridged mono modes, with independent rear-panel gain control for both channels. The PMA-100 also offers a 12v trigger input and output that allows it to synchronize with other controlled actions, such as having motorized shades come down when the amplifier is turned on. Additionally, the PMA•100 can power up in slow or fast modes with variable delay time (five seconds to five minutes) so that it can be seamlessly integrated with the rest of the audio system's control configuration. A local source input and video sensor is provided for automatic switching to a local source upon sensing a video signal. The new PMA-100 also provides dealers with flexibility in mounting options, thanks to its compact form factor: 1 rack space high and only a half rack space in width. The amplifier can be mounted in a rack or on a wall. (Wall mount brackets are included). The Colorado vNet PMA-100 will ship in the 4th Quarter of 2010.
