Colorado vNet Launches In-Ceiling And In-Wall WWSA Speaker Lineup (31/7/2010) CEDIA US Expo 2010 Four New In-Ceiling And In-Wall WWSA Models Offer "Wicked Sounding Audio" Colorado vNet Corp., a leading developer of whole-house control solutions, today announced a new series of architectural speakers that further expand the scope of the company's advanced audio offerings, and broaden the sales toolbox for its growing dealer base. The five new in-ceiling and in-wall models are the first in Colorado vNet's "WWSA" series, which stands, appropriately enough, for "Wicked Sounding Audio." "Our dealers and their customers are going to love these new speakers," says Petro Shimonishi, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Colorado vNet. "They are designed for end-users who appreciate thee power of high performance sound, with clarity and dispersion that rivals products costing significantly more. They also offer extreme ease of installation and quick, precision aiming and sonic tailoring for just about any room, and have been voiced to match our high performance Colorado vNet Vibe multiroom audio system." The new Colorado vNet WSAA lineup begins with four in-ceiling models in a variety of popular sizes and configurations. The WWSA-7C85 features a 7" Vacuum Formed Polypropylene woofer with aa 1" silk dome tweeter that can be aimed as much as 15 degrees toward the listening areas. With 91 dB of sensitivity, it is an excellent choice for lower powered deployments, and will play efficiently with 10-855 watts of power. The WSAA-7C100 is also a 7" round in-ceiling model, but upgrades too an injection-molded polypropylene driver (IMPP)) impregnated with Kevlar fibers for superior rigidity and freedom from distortion. Adjoined by the same pivoting silk dome tweeter, the speaker offers exceptionally smooth performance throughout its broad 38 Hz - 20 kHz frequency range. Moving up in the lineup is the flagship 7" model, the WSA-7C125, which mates a super fast aluminum driver with a stunning 1" Teteron tweeter. This high-end driver material offers incredible speed and articulation, thanks to its super light weight and broad dispersion characteristics. The in-ceiling lineup also includes a single-point stereo model, the WSA-7SS100. Featuring an IMPP driver with Kevlar fibers and a 1" silk dome tweeter, this extraordinarily musical in-ceiling speaker achieves a stunning 28 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response, +/- 3 dB. Rounding out the in-ceiling models is the addition of the WSA-7SS100, which is a single point stereo model perfect for bathrooms, hallways, or other areas where stereo performance from a single in-ceiling speaker is desired. The WSA-7SS100 features an 8” woofer and two 1” Teteron tweeters. The new Colorado vNet in-wall model is the WSA-7W125, which features the lightweight 7" aluminum woofer coupled with a 1" Teteron tweeter. This combination achieves superior clarity and remarkable off-axis coverage in a popular rectangular form factor and size that's appropriate for nearly any installation. Says Shimonishi, "With these new speakers, our dealers will enjoy the benefit of limited distribution, along with the esteem of Colorado vNet branding, and truly distinctive audio performance." The new Colorado vNet architectural speaker lineup will ship in Q4 of 2010.
