NuVo Shows New Freestanding Version of its Renovia Retrofit Whole Home Audio Solution (27/8/2010)

At CEDIA USA 2010, NuVo will be showing their new freestanding form of Renovia - a retrofit whole home audio solution that promises custom installers significant installation benefits over comparative products in the marketplace. By using the home’s existing powerlines and eliminating the need for excessive wall-cutting, freestanding Renovia delivers hi-fidelity home audio without any of the disruption associated with a traditional installation. The result is a cleaner retrofit install, for any home environment, and an easier sell for the installer.

NuVo has designed the freestanding Renovia to be an efficient and adaptable retrofit solution that further reduces any cutting into walls or pulling wire, and requires no electrician on site. The system distributes audio and metadata throughout a home using Powerline Carrier technology and features a compact desktop amp that can be kept out-of-sight behind furniture or concealed in the ceiling or cabinets. This enables integrators to provide a great whole home audio solution in previously deemed “uninstallable” situations, such as homes with brick, stone, or concrete walls. The manufacturer’s intention of ease-of-install continues with the simple programming consistency that NuVo dealers appreciate. The resulting ability to truly streamline the installation process maximises the potential for increased profitability.

The Renovia system can be used for up to eight zones, each zone using one of NuVo’s discreet zone amplifiers, either freestanding or an also available in-wall version and supports a wide variety of sources for up to six audio outputs. The Renovia Hub contains a dual AM/FM tuner as well as dedicated outputs for the Renovia NuVoDock for iPod. And with the Music Port (MPS4 or MPS4-E) component, streaming Internet Radio makes the options for content unlimited. The system can be operated with any combination of NuVo’s functional and stylish in-wall or wireless control options for the most accommodating retrofit solution.
