Mozaex Expands List of Control Modules for its Blu-ray Servers to Include iPhone/iPad, Control4, Savant, Netstreams and RTI Modules (27/8/2010) CEDIA US Expo 2010 Mozaex™, the premiere manufacturer of multi-room, multi-media Blu-ray Entertainment Servers, has announced it has added iPhone/iPad, Control4, Savant, NetStreams, and RTI to its growing list of leading control modules. Mozaex will be demonstrating at the 2010 CEDIA Expo being held from September 23-26 at the Georgia World Congress Center (Atlanta, GA), booth #3844. “The addition of these new control modules further bolsters our leading position in providing the widest selection of one- and two-way interfaces available for a Blu-ray Entertainment Server,” said Mozaex CEO Douglas Kihm. Mozaex may be controlled a variety of ways including the Mozaex IR remote and a wide selection of universal remotes and control systems from companies such as Crestron, AMX, Elan, HomeLogic and Vantage among many others. A Mozaex Server is required for some two-way touch panel control systems while all one-way and semi two-way modules do not require a Server. “All control modules include a one-way interface to control the Mozaex on-screen TV GUI, or ‘MOZI’, as would a hand held remote control,” Kihm explained. “Some control modules also offer a two-way interface which retrieves and displays the cover art and metadata of the user’s media collection of movies and music on the Touch Panel.” Others, Kihm continued, such as iPhone, Control4 and NetStreams, offer a “semi two-way” which provides both a one-way interface and a two-way music-only interface. The Semi two-way Music interface is a popular common choice since, except for music, the TV normally needs to be turned on to watch a movie or play other media such as a photo slide show or online streaming video channel such as HULU or MTV. With Mozaex’s broad selection of control modules, the dealer can configure the Mozaex system with the control system that most cost effectively meets a specific customer’s needs. All Mozaex Remote Control Interface software “modules” are available at no charge to authorized Mozaex dealers. Most modules are available via the Mozaex private dealer web site except for the iPhone App which is expected to be available for downloading from the Apple Store by October 2010 and the Savant module which is expected to be available from Savant on September 10, 2010. All Mozaex control modules are available at no charge to authorized Mozaex dealers.
