Amazon has revealed that it has sold over 100 million devices with Alexa built in.
This figure was revealed by Amazon’s senior VP of devices and services, David Limp in an interview with The Verge last week.
As well as Amazon’s own line of Echo speakers, the number also includes the 150 third-party products that have Alexa built in such as the Sonos One speaker and the Bose QC35 II headphones amongst many others. However, Amazon does not reveal any specific details to say how many of Amazon’s Echo devices have been sold against the third-party products. Nevertheless, Limp did expose that the Echo Dot speaker sold ahead of Amazon’s expectation over Christmas and are now sold out for January.
