CEDIA Awarded Investors in People Accreditation

In March 2016, CEDIA celebrated being awarded the prestigious Investors in People (IIP) accreditation, following an internal assessment of its staff, development and achievements.

Introduced in 1991, Investors in People is an internationally recognised standard that champions people management, excellence in the work place and outstanding team development. Over the last twenty five years, Investors in People has helped companies ensure that with rigorous assessment methodology, they are capable of outperforming in any industry. With 14,000 businesses now in possession of the accreditation, companies can keep track of the benchmark of their performance through online assessments, whilst benefiting from more profitable, sustainable and optimistic employers.

CEDIA is dedicated to developing a strong internal team and operate an open communication system, to ensure employees understand the wider business strategy, development and objectives. The approached helps promote a healthy atmosphere, where ideas are welcomed, and encouraged by all.

Matt Nimmons, Operations Director of CEDIA EMEA said: “Collectively, we strive to develop the skills and standards of the industry, and we also aim to apply this within the heart of the association with our team. To be awarded with the accreditation is a great achievement, and something we encourage all businesses in the industry to strive to achieve.”

The CEDIA team in the UK includes 11 members of staff. Focusing on different aspects of the business, including education, membership, industry relations, events and marketing, the team is responsible for activities in over 40 countries within the EMEA region. The team works together to ensure that high standards are maintained, and its members and the wider industry benefit from the outcomes they generate.
