CEDIA launches Propel programme as next step in industry recovery

A new affinity programme has been launched by CEDIA today to connect members to new brands and products in emerging categories to help stimulate economic growth and introduce new business opportunities.

CEDIA Propel will see integrator members receive preferential pricing and product training across all brands enrolled in the programme. It will also allow CEDIA manufacturer members to drive adoption of their most innovative products and services, while also attracting new brands to the CI channel.

Propel is available to all manufacturer members, existing and new, and provides a new platform to connect and engage with CEDIA integrators.

Launching with Amazon, Ring, Bryte, and Immersive Gym, CEDIA Propel is currently launching with brands from the ever-growing IoT and health and wellbeing sectors. The platform is mainly launching in the US for now with just one brand currently available outside of the US which is Immersive Gym.

The variety of products from the launching brands provides opportunities across all project types, from small residential projects to mid-sized smart homes as well as high-end luxury estates.

Participating brands will grow over time, with the focus on positioning new and innovative products for the CI market and driving adoption with compelling incentives.

“Since we rolled out our CEDIASTRONG campaign, which we launched in response to the Covid-19 pandemic, we’ve been interacting with our integrator members at a whole new level,” said Giles Sutton, SVP member success and sales at CEDIA. “A recent survey found that 47% of our members are seeking new products and services to add to their portfolios to bolster revenue potential, but more than 50% were struggling to make those connections and negotiate new deals.

“We prioritised creating a business affinity programme that will connect manufacturer members, as well as new brands, with our CEDIA integrator members, aiming to raise the tide across the industry as a whole.”

He continued: “When Propel is coupled with CEDIA’s vast education and workforce development initiatives, we see significant economic opportunities that can impact the entire channel.”

In the coming weeks, CEDIA will demonstrate how the Propel brands can help consumers live safe and happy in their homes by showcasing each individual brand through webinars. This will allow integrators to get a grasp on the products and solutions on offer and how best to market and sell them.
