L-Acoustics’ immersive audio platform has made its debut at WOW!house, showing how it can be specified from the earliest stages of luxury residential design.
HYRISS (Hyperreal Immersive Sound Space), which combines three L-Acoustics technologies into a single platform, has become a defining experiential element in Nucleus AV’s showhouse installation.
The London-based residential integrator built this circular space ('Momentarium') around the theme of memory in partnership with Russell Sage Studio.
Nucleus managing director Durgesh Sinh said: “The room had to use sound to do something we hadn’t done before in a designed space.
“Sound had to cocoon the room, create movement, support the visual content, and help transform the overall atmosphere… HYRISS is what makes it different.”

Visitors interact with personal objects stored in bespoke furniture, with each object triggering unique combinations of music, ambient sound and lighting.
HYRISS forms the foundation of this experience, uniting L-ISA object-based audio for precise sound positioning, Ambiance acoustic enhancement, and the Anima processing engine to adapt audio content to the space.
The installation features 17 X4i coaxial loudspeakers, 12 SB6i subwoofers, two LA1.16i amplified controllers, a L-ISA Processor II and P1 processor for Ambiance.
HYRISS is designed for residential, hospitality, workplace and marine applications, enabling a single environment to switch between soundscapes without hardware changes.
WOW!house 2026 runs from 2 June to 2 July 2026 at the Design Centre Chelsea Harbour in London, UK.
The Nucleus Immersive Room by Russell Sage Studio is included on the show’s twice-daily guided tours.
