Lithe Audio has announced a distribution partnership with Invision to distribute the latest version of Lithe Audio’s all-in-one Wi-Fi ceiling speakers that now have Control4 SDDP built in. The speakers will be unveiled at Invision's Technology Showcase later this week at Mercedes-Benz World.
Until now, it has been a challenge to retrofit Wi-Fi speakers into a ceiling without connecting to a separate amplifier or running cables through the walls. With the new speakers, Lithe Audio has taken a different approach in that the speakers are powered via the existing lighting circuit, eliminating the need for speaker cables or servers.

Back in January,
we reported that the Wi-Fi ceiling speakers are also available in an IP44 bathroom version, working together to seamlessly stream high quality audio from any audio service to a single, a selection or up to 30 speakers at once for full multi-room delivery. The app will save settings for individual zones or to play Party Mode (all speakers at once) for future streaming.
The frameless in-ceiling speakers are designed to ‘disappear’ into the ceiling, only protruding 3mm. The grille covers are magnetic and can be removed easily for cleaning or for replacement with a different coloured finish. They can also be painted over to match the ceiling for a ‘barely-there’ look.
The new wireless ceiling speakers will be on show at Invision's Technology Showcase on March 20-21, 2019 at Mercedes-Benz World.
