Gofigure, Chord Electronics’ set-up app for the company’s portable streamer/servers, Poly and 2go, has received another firmware update to provide better performance across several key areas.
As part of its commitment to a continual improvement programme for its network audio products, the update to the Gofigure app will also prepare the new 2go streamer/server for a forthcoming firmware roll out.
This latest free update, Android 1.2.90 and iOS 2.05, follows a previous update rolled out at the beginning of April this year that included new features and benefits for better music streaming, performance and playback.
This new version benefits from enhancements to AirPlay, Wi-Fi and MPD, as well as several improvements affecting playlists, battery status and network switching.
Gofigure’s new version has been released on both Android and Apple platforms simultaneously and can be downloaded directly from the Google Play Store and Apple’s App Store. Chord Electronics advises users to do a fresh install to achieve best results. iOS 13 and Android 7 (or higher) are also recommended.
Users of 2go are strongly advised to update their Gofigure app in order to optimise their devices for new 2go firmware, the first since the products launch in January, which will automatically roll out via and over-the-air update this month.
