We want to make it as easy as possible for ourselves at home. Switching the lighting on or off yourself? That is no longer necessary. The sensor will take care of that. But sensors are a disruptive element that spoils the appearance of every interior. Niko solves that problem with a mini-sensor for the ceiling that is nearly invisible.
Presence and absence detector
The new presence or absence detector from Niko, with its minimal diameter of 3.6 cm, is the solution for people who do not want to sacrifice comfort for design. It is barely noticeable in any interior. You can use the mini-sensor in one of two ways. As a presence detector, it automatically switches the lighting on when motion is detected or when there is insufficient daylight, and then switches it off again when the daylight level is adequate or when no one is present any longer. As an absence detector, the user must switch on the light manually, but it will be switched off again automatically when no one is present or when there is sufficient daylight.
You do not want to wait for the sensor's switch-off delay but instead want to switch off the light immediately upon leaving a room? With the eco-off function, you switch the lighting off yourself using a push button switch. And, if you forget to do so, the light switches off automatically anyway, after the switch-off delay elapses.
Strong performance and ease-of-installation
The new mini-sensor has a detection range of 9.5 meters in diameter. With its 10 A relay, it can handle a 1200 VA load of economy lamps and a 2300 W load of 230 V halogen lamps. And its IP65 protection degree allows you to use this sensor without a problem in humid areas. Using the standard spring clamps, you can install it in the ceiling as easily as you would a flush-mounting spotlight. The switch-off delay and lux value can be adjusted using the remote control unit that is available separately.
