WatchGuard’s Firebox T series introduced as residential network security at TechFest 10G

Habitech will introduce residential integrators to WatchGuard Technologies’ scalable, enterprise-grade network security via the Firebox T Series at TechFest 10G.

With a simple, plug-and-play install method, the Firebox T Series of Unified Threat Management (UTM) appliance offers integrators and their customers a strong defence against a rising tide of cyber criminality, including advanced malware, ransomware, botnets, trojans, viruses, drive-by downloads, data loss and phishing.

Best suited in residential or small business applications, the T15, T35 and T55 UTM firewall boxes plugs into the LAN backbone, accommodating up to 35 users and offering up to five wired Gigabit network connections. They also support as many as 20 APs managed in the Cloud or through a built-in wireless controller.

Offering flexible choices, all Firebox solutions are available in ‘Total’ and ‘Basic’ Security Suite packages.

Services range from traditional IPS, GAV, application control, spam blocking, and web filtering at the ‘Basic’ level, to more advanced services for protection against advanced malware, ransomware, and the loss of sensitive data.

WatchGuard also offers a full suite of network visibility and management services from its WatchGuard Dimension solution, packaged with every T Series firewall.

According to WatchGuard, the feed from already-installed Firebox UTMs has shown that network attack more than doubled from Q1 to Q2 in 2019. In Q2 alone, WatchGuard Fireboxes blocked 22,619.836 malware variants across all three anti-malware engines and prevented 2,265,425 network attacks.

Distributor Habitech will be demonstrating WatchGuard’s capabilities later this month in Basingstoke at TechFest 10G.

It will also offer WatchGuard#s ‘DNSWatchGO’ service, which provides cloud-based DNS-level protection, content filtering and monitoring, ideal for mobile devices outside of the network, without requiring a VPN.
