CEDIA EMEA Award winners announced

Friday 14 October saw the industry unite to celebrate the winners of the CEDIA EMEA Awards 2022 during a black-tie ceremony at The Brewery, London.

This year represented the 17th awards event and saw almost 400 industry professionals gather, with attendees from countries including Belgium, India, Pakistan, Cyprus, Germany, France, South Africa, the USA, and the UK. A live stream was available for those who were unable to attend.

A pre-dinner drinks reception in the King George III room, which was sponsored by Meridian Audio, kicked off the evening before guests were seated and welcomed by Rob Sutherland, CEDIA’s board of directors past chair. A three-course dinner was then enjoyed in The Porter Tun, one of the largest and oldest unobstructed event spaces in London.

After the dinner, an address was given by CEDIA global president and CEO, Daryl Friedman, followed by Matt Nimmons, managing director of CEDIA EMEA who then presented the award ceremony, announcing winners alongside event sponsors.

UK members, Intuitive Homes and Ultamation were the success story of the night, walking away with a total of four awards for its Cooper House installation. Homeplay and Cinema Lusso were also key winners, each being presented with a Global Award which was presented to them by headline sponsor, Monitor Audio.

Several individuals were also recognised during the evening, including Peter Aylett as a CEDIA Fellow, Mark Warburton and Andy Baker as CEDIA Volunteers, and Chris Pinder who received the Special Recognition Award.

The event concluded with an after-dinner drinks reception, sponsored by Sonos.

“We are extremely proud of how the CEDIA Awards has become the must attend event of the year in the industry calendar,” said Matt Nimmons. “We thoroughly enjoy the opportunity to get our community together to network and celebrate our award winners. It was a fantastic evening and I’d like to congratulate all our winners once again.”
