Elsner Elektronik has expanded its product portfolio with new KNX-DALI gateways for flexible and energy-efficient lighting control.
KNX Secure supports the stable integration of DALI lighting systems into KNX building automation. The combined interfaces help to implement individual lighting scenes via scenes and functions such as Human Centric Lighting (HCL) and colour transition.
The two models KNX DALI L1 ind/gr/bc sec and KNX DALI L2 ind/gr/bc sec have one (L1) or two (L2) DALI connections for 64 devices each in individual, group or broadcast mode. The DALI settings are made in the KNX project via a DCA (Device Configuration App), centralising the implementation of modern DALI lighting systems in KNX projects in conjunction with control data protection.
HCL, one of the lighting functions available, is a biodynamic control simulating natural daylight to support the human bio-rhythm. Colour temperature and brightness automatically change to increase well-being and productivity, ideal for use in home offices and commercial spaces where bright lighting aids concentration. At the end of the working day, the light in these settings changes to warm tones to initiate relaxation.
The Colour Transition function can also be used to create gentle (RGB) colour changes for atmospheric lighting transitions and requirements in specific room scenarios. Lighting scenes can be defined using scenes with the KNX DALI gateways, calling up brightness, colour temperature and light colour for targeted use.
The intelligent lighting concepts can be implemented in private and commercial buildings ranging from hotels, schools, administrative buildings and production facilities to residential complexes and detached houses.
