Bang & Olufsen (B&O) has launched its Beovision Harmony 88-in TV, the brand’s most luxurious and immersive TV experience to date.
The Beovision Harmony TV has a two-meter wide form factor and comes with the 2020 OLED 8K display from LG Electronics, the largest OLED screen ever created by LG Electronics. The display is optimised for B&O, allowing users to have the full Bang & Olufsen cinematic experience.
Originally introduced at Milan Design Week in 2019, the Beovision Harmony combines art and technology, with the TV folding down into a sculptural shape when not in use. The two oak and aluminium panels partially hide the black screen when the TV is switched off. When the TV is switched on, the panels open and the screen rises above them to the correct viewing height.
As well as delivering the highest picture quality through LG’s 8K display, the Beovision Harmony also boasts upgraded performance and AI-enabled features.
Several advanced core technologies sit at the heart of the TV, most importantly the new α (Alpha) 9 Gen AI Processor which leverages upgraded processing power and artificial intelligence deep learning algorithms to improve on the picture quality and enable a host of specialised features for various types of content.
Beovision Harmony comes with a pre-installed three-channel sound system and built-in dual subwoofer. However, the TV is also compatible with B&O’s speaker programme, allowing users to connect up to eight wireless Beolab speakers for true 7.1 surround sound. All sources can be controlled via the Beoremote One, a remote made from a single piece of extruded aluminium, adding to the luxury experience.
Up until now, the speaker cover choice has been oak wood and natural aluminium, but this has now changed with the addition of two more options having recently been added to the Beovision Harmony. Warm brass tone aluminium has been combined with smoked oak and bronze tone aluminium with walnut.
These new finishes will match the Beloab 50 and Beolab 90 finish options, creating a visual coherence between products when included in a complete home cinema. A full customisation of finish on Beovision Harmon, Beolab 50, and Beolab 90 is available for clients who want something totally unique.
Available from the end of June 2020, Beovision Harmony 88-in TV will retail from £44,100 / €46,500 / $49,000.
