Speakercraft from Core Brands has announced that its latest offerings from its AIM Series 2 in-wall LCR speaker line – the AIM LCR5 FIVE and the AIM LCR5 TWO – are now shipping worldwide.
Both AIM Series 2 in-wall speakers feature an Arrayed Point Source (APS) tweeter module, incorporating three pivoting tweeters mounted in a rotational sound baffle to focus the high frequency sound into the targeted listening area.
Each speaker has dual 5 ¼-in woofers, angled within the assembly to prevent acoustic lobbing and improve clarity in the vocal frequencies. Both also employ SpeakerCraft’s Acoustic Isolation Technology to minimise acoustic energy transfer to the mounting and surrounding surfaces.
“In addition to providing powerful standalone performances, both speakers can be paired with SpeakerCraft’s new Dolby Atmos enabled in-wall height speaker – the ATX100 – to create one cohesive 360-degree audio system under a single grille,” commented Mike Jordan, VP of product development at Core Brands.
The AIM LCR5 FIVE Series 2 matches its two woven Kevlar cone woofers with 1-in Custom Titanium Dome Tweeters. It offers a 48Hz - 22kHz frequency response with a power handling of 190W at 8 Ohm impedance. The AIM LCR5 TWO Series 2 pairs its two glass and carbon fibre cones with 1-in custom soft dome tweeters. It delivers a frequency response of 52Hz - 20kHz with a power handling of 135 watts at 8 Ohm impedance.
