Dali launches two outdoor speakers at ISE

Dali has launched two new in-ceiling speaker systems that are resistant to moisture and dust, and which are intended to establish the new Dali Phantom E-WR speaker series.

The Dali Phantom E-60 WR and Dali Phantom E-80 WR are in-ceiling speaker systems that are IP65-certified and can therefore withstand moisture and dust, making them suitable for use outdoors.

The Dali Phantom E-WR speaker series are based on a low-midrange driver with a waterproof polypropylene cone and natural rubber. The Dali Phantom E-60 WR uses a 6.5-in driver and the Dali Phantom E-80 WR has an 8-in driver. The tweeter is identical in both speakers, with both the Dali Phantom E-60 WR and the Dali Phantom E-80 WR using a 25 mm textile dome tweeter, which is housed in a separate, decoupled unit.

The Phantom E-WR speakers also use a passive crossover integrated at 3.3kHz, and the drivers are tilted at a 5-degree angle within the ceiling-mount chassis to direct sound to the primary listening area and minimise driver and baffle resonance.
