This year’s IFA in Berlin saw XGIMI launch four new smart projectors, consisting of the HORIZON S Max, HORIZON S Pro, the Elfin Flip, and an upgraded version of the popular Halo+.
Adding to HORIZON family
The new HORIZON S Max and HORIZON S Pro mark a significant evolution within the HORIZON family, offering a fresh design, enhanced technical specification and a more immersive cinema experience.
Both new models in the HORIZON S Series introduce a fully rotatable built-in stand, enabling 360-degree horizontal and 135-degree vertical adjustment. Built-in features such as XGIMI’s latest Intelligent Screen Adaption (ISA) 5.0 technology, Auto Focus, Uninterrupted Auto Keystone, Intelligent Screen Alignment, Wall Colour Adaptation, and Intelligent Eye Protection ensure easy set up out of the box and simple and safe use.
Powered by XGIMI’s Dual Light 2.0 technology, which combines a tri-colour laser with an LED hybrid light system, delivers 4K visual with advanced colour accuracy and dynamic contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1.
Complementing the visuals, the projectors have two 12W Harman Kardon speakers supported by Dolby Audio.
The flagship of the series, the HORIZON S Max carries IMAX Enhanced and Dolby Vision certification, delivering brightness of 3100 ISO Lumens, the most luminous projector ever crafted by XGIMI. The IMAX Enhanced certification allows users to enjoy IMAX’s expanded aspect ratio, visuals, and the exclusive audio format from DTS at home.
The HORIZON S Pro features Dolby Vision certification and a robust 1800 ISO Lumens.
The HORIZON S Series will launch in mid-October, with the HORIZON S Max priced at £1,679 and the HORIZON S Pro available for £1,179.
Portable projection
The Elfin Flip is designed to be a portable and lightweight full HD smart projector. Building on the success of its predecessor, the Elfin Flip introduces an integrated stand for easy set up and storage in any setting.
The projector delivers 400 ISO Lumens of brightness and is capable of projecting images up to 150”. Equipped with two 3W speakers enhanced by Dolby Audio, the projector provides sound to complement the display.
XGIMI’s ISA technology is also integrated into the Elfin Flip, automatically adjusting the image for perfect alignment, focus and clarity.
Weighing just 1.18kg, the Elfin Flip is ideal for on-the-go entertainment while also being budget-conscious.
The Elfin Flip will be available mid-September priced at £339.
Upgraded viewing
The final launch from IFA is the updated Halo+, which now features Google TV integration, bringing together movies, shows, and more from across apps and subscriptions, organising them for owners.
Users can get curated recommendations and use Google’s powerful search to find content across over 10,000 apps, including Netflix. A new and upgraded remote is also included, which has a dedicated Netflix button. It also features a Google Assistant button, enabling users to search via voice.
The new Halo+ retains its reputation as a projector ideal for outdoor cinema sessions, thanks to its built-in battery. Its compact design makes it equally ideal for indoor movie watching.
Available in September, the new Halo+ is priced at £679.
