Naim has announced it has upgraded its Uniti range to include new options such as AirPlay 2 amongst other updates.
The first update has enabled AirPlay 2 compatibility across the full new Uniti range. This firmware update is available now.
The firmware update will also enable Uniti Star and Uniti Nova units to be fitted with a DAB/FM module to deliver broadcast radio at a cost of £149/€179/$199. This is available as a special order option for new units or as a service upgrade.
AirPlay 2 will ensure highly advanced multiroom audio capabilities and natural voice commands via Siri. As well as AirPlay 2 compatibility, the latest firmware has multiple feature upgrades, including the ability to turn off the display during playback, and support for third-party UPnP controllers such as Audirvana and Bubble UPnP, as well as many other bug fixes and general improvements.
