ARCAM & JBL network devices now Roon Ready

A selection of AV receivers, processors and amplifiers from ARCAM and JBL Synthesis have been certified as Roon Ready.

The status has been given to five ARCAM models – the AVR10, AVR20, and AVR30 AV receivers, the AV40 AV processor, and SA30 Class G intelligent amplifier – and two JBL Synthesis models – the SDP-55 AV processor and the SDR-35 Class G AV receiver.

Roon Ready status exclusively applies to network devices that have Roon’s streaming technology built in and means that these devices transparently discover and connect to Roon without any configuration to deliver bit-perfect audio. To certify as a Roon Tested device, a product must also work over USB, HDMI, AirPlay, Google Cast, and other protocols.

Both the ARCAM and JBL Synthesis models have been certified by Roon Labs, working with the ARCAM and JBL Synthesis engineering teams to provide the highest level of quality and performance in network streaming.

Adding to existing features, Roon Ready status adds multiroom abilities as well as the system’s award-winning integrated music library to the five ARCAM models and two JBL Synthesis devices.

To ensure that the ARCAM devices are running the latest Roon certified software, existing AVR 10/20/30 and AV40 users should run ARCAM Software v1.46, while SA30 users should check for ARCAM Software V867.

Users of the JBL SDP-55 and SDR-35 should ensure their machines are running software v.1.46.
