CEDIA has revealed that it will be bringing an extensive 4-day education training programme to ISE 2018 next February for home technology professionals.
“CEDIA education at ISE 2018 will be rich in content for integrators, whatever their level within the industry,” said Aneta Armova-Levin, education manager at CEDIA.
“Our expert presenters will cover a varied range of business and technology topics in over 40 sessions at the event. Visitors can buy an ‘All Access Pass’ that gives them the opportunity to attend as many CEDIA sessions from the programme as they like for just €250*, and a ‘Super Pass’ that will allow access to both CEDIA and AVIXA training sessions.”
She added: “We will also offer the opportunity for integrators to sit for a CEDIA Certification exam, demonstrating how they excel within the profession.”
Highlights in the programme include full-day Advanced Home Cinema Design and Rack-Building workshops, as well as a two-part acoustics treatment training. Topics such as power management, power conditioning, local generation and storage, and POE will also be covered, alongside sessions exploring lighting, video and interoperability.
2018 furthermore sees the organisation host sessions dedicated to hot talking points in the industry such as VR for smart home designs and high resolution audio.
Leslie Shiner, the renowned US author, speaker, and trainer, will host a course exploring how grow and maximise profitability as an integration company with sessions entitled ‘Time Is Money; 25 Ways to Increase Profit; A Project Manager’s Guide to the Financial Stuff, and Using a Dashboard to Steer Your Company on the Right Path.’
CEDIA Certification will be a major focus for the association throughout 2018. All certification examinations for Electronic Systems Technician (ESC-T), Designer (ESC-D), or Networking Specialist (ESC-N) Certifications will take place on Friday 9 February, 2018 at the RAI.
‘Talks’ return to CEDIA booth
Visitors can also attend in CEDIA Talks – free, 20-minute sessions designed to introduce ISE attendees to new disruptive technologies in the industry, and access unique insight from experts in their field.
The theme for this year has been announced as ‘10 Things You Should Pay Attention to, but Probably Aren’t,’ with each Talk focused on one important topic. CEDIA Talks will take place on the CEDIA booth throughout each day of the event.
Early bird rates
Attendees to ISE can currently pre-book an All Access Pass at an exclusive Early Bird rate of €250 (+VAT) until 8 January, 2018. Alternatively, individual courses can be booked on an a la carte basis. Attendees can additionally benefit from the joint CEDIA and AVIXA Super Pass, giving integrators access to both CEDIA and AVIXA training sessions at ISE 2018 in one comprehensive ticket for €350 (+VAT).
