CEDIA has announced that that Dave Evans, co-Founder and CTO of Stringify and former chief futurist at CISCO, will deliver the opening keynote at CEDIA 2017 in San Diego this September.
Entitled “The Internet of Intelligent Things (IoIT)”, Evans’ keynote address will explore the next phase of IoT, including how to add intelligence to connected things and how these advances can open up new opportunities for integrators.
“Raw connectivity will be antiquated, all things will be connected to rich sources of intelligence and to one another, creating a powerful global intelligence, commented Evans. “IoIT will redefine not only the home, but the way we address some of mankind’s most pressing issues.”
CEO of CEDIA, Vin Bruno, added: “During his tenure at CISCO, Dave developed a proven track record of being able to show exactly where the industry is going. His CEDIA ‘talk’ at last year’s show was highly attended and gave attendees a small glimpse into the exponential advances that are driving us forward. “This year’s keynote will take it even further with specific real-time insights for the CEDIA audience.”
Dave is an expert on emerging technologies and holds numerous patents in the fields of connected cars, networking technologies, virtual people, mobile phone technology, and IoT. His views have been featured on the BBC, Financial Times, Forbes, Fortune, CNN, NPR, Discovery Channel, The History Channel MSNBC and the New York Times.
