The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has confirmed that the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) will open tomorrow with more than 2200 exhibitors confirmed but it will close one day early as an additional Covid safety measure.
Opening tomorrow, the in-person event will take place in Las Vegas, closing on Friday 7 January 2022. Visitors can also take part in the show digitally through its virtual platform if they cannot or do not want to attend the show due to the rise of the Omicron variant.
Digital registration will grant access to more than 40 livestreamed conference sessions, keynotes, select Media Days press conferences and the ability to engage with exhibitors.
According to the CTS, 143 additional companies have signed up to exhibit in person over the last two weeks.
“As the world’s most influential technology event, CES is steadfast in its pledge to be the gathering place to showcase products and discuss ideas that will ultimately make our lives better,” said Gary Shapiro, president and CEO of the CTA. “We are shortening the show to three days and have put in place comprehensive health measures for the safety of all attendees and participants.”
