Crestron hosted its first ever Training Conference last week bringing together trainers from across the EMEA region. During the two-day conference discussions were held aimed at exploring training requirements, key processes and online registrations and how to improve training style and opportunities across the region.
The event provided the opportunity to announce the promotion of Tom Wright to EMEA CSP Manager. Wright, who has worked at Crestron for nine years, will continue to manage the UK training operation, teaching the higher level courses, and being involved in the Crestron curriculum development team. In addition he will be managing the certification program; assisting new applicants through their path to certification and maintaining contact with the EMEA CSP community.
The programme also saw key representatives from the US visit to speak about new product developments and the relevant training courses required in the run up to ISE 2017 and Crestron Masters 2017. "This was a unique opportunity to bring together all of our key representatives for a focused debate on the importance of training to our organisation," said Rich Sasson, Global Director of Technical Services Crestron. "It emphasises just how much of a driving force our training is and it was particularly important to understand the different requirements of the EMEA region as well as giving our team here an early insight into the new training courses coming in 2017."
Neil Walton, Training Manager at Crestron EMEA, said: "It has been a fantastic few days of discussion, debate and development which highlights our dedication to offering our dealers and CSP’s the very best training possible. I am personally delighted Tom has taken on this new role and I know he will work well with our CSP community."
