The 2021 CEDIA Awards programme entries are now being accepted for projects in the EMEA, Americas, and Asia Pacific regions until Friday 2 April 2021.
“Integrators throughout the world continue to advance the profession and deliver impressive projects,” said Giles Sutton, CEDIA’s co-interim CEO. “The 2021 CEDIA Awards competition is one of the ways we celebrate innovation and showcase the expertise our members offer the global business community.”
The project categories for next year’s programme include Integrated Home; Media Room; Home Cinema; Innovative Solution or system; Showroom; Auto, Marine, or Aircraft; and Multiple Dwelling Unit Design.
Additional sub-categories include Best Dressed Rack, Best Documentation, Best Lighting System, Innovative System or Solution, Life Lived Best at Home, and Technology Meets Design. Additionally, winners of Home Cinema, Integrated Home, and Media Room categories will be considered for Global Awards.
Manufacturers interested in the CEDIA Awards will be invited to submit products for the Best New Product and Product Hall of Fame categories beginning 8 February 2021.
CEDIA members can submit projects in multiple categories and judges will determine cost categories based on all completed entries, which will be categorised based on their region.
To qualify for the 2021 awards programme, entrants must be active CEDIA members and projects need to have been completed between March 2019 and March 2021. Integrators will need documentation and project information to hand when applying.
A panel of experienced industry experts review the entries and select finalists and winner based on specific technical criteria. Regional finalists for installation categories will be announced the week of 14 June 2021.
The date for the EMEA Awards ceremony where winners from the region will be announced is yet to be decided.
