The evolution of innovative user interface (UI) technologies and applications is taking human-machine interaction to new heights. Present-day UI technologies have moved beyond the concept of just representing machines to users to enabling sophisticated interaction. These technologies have facilitated the successful transformation from traditional text- and graphics-based UIs to touch, touchless and voice-guided innovations.
New analysis from Frost & Sullivan, Future of Customer Experience with User Interface Technologies, finds that the future of UIs will largely rely on touchless, hands-free operations. Technologies like gesture recognition, image recognition, and natural language processing (NLP) will thus be increasingly used to design accessible UIs that enable secure, reliable and touchless interactions.

Currently, the prime focus among UI innovators is to overcome challenges pertaining to efficiency, conciseness, intelligence, responsiveness and attractiveness. Efforts are geared towards the development of UIs that are simple, accurate, clear, consistent and user-friendly for carrying out complex interactions.
