HDanywhere (
5-R114), a brand that until now have specialised in video distribution and signal management, revealed in the leadup to ISE that their product portfolio will expand in 2015 to include distributed audio solutions for residential applications. At ISE 2015 they will preview LayerCake, a three-part whole-home AV distribution system, comprised of an 8x8 video matrix, a 12x12 audio matrix and an 8-zone power amplifier.

With LayerCake, installers can quickly and easily deliver up to eight zones of colourful, immersive multiroom HD video and up to twelve zones of high fidelity audio to their client’s home. The development of LayerCake means that for the first time ever CIs can get audio, video and amplification all from the award-winning HDanywhere brand.
Once available, LayerCake will be sold in a variety of configurable packages that CIs can choose from. The standard package features a new fixed-format 8x8 HDBaseT-Pro (Class A) video matrix (ULTRA HD and 4K capable), accompanied by a 12x12  stereo audio matrix and an 8-zone power amplifier. Other LayerCake packages will use the existing HDanywhere mHub, mHub 4K and Modular matrixes for the video distribution “layerâ€.
The two audio components in LayerCake systems are entirely manufactured in the U.K., enabling installers to opt for British engineered audio distribution products to accompany HDanywhere’s already esteemed British-built Modular customisable video matrices.
