Honeywell has merged its Honeywell Security Group and Honeywell Fire Safety (HFS) businesses to form the new Honeywell Security and Fire (HSF) business unit within Honeywell Automation & Control Solutions (ACS).  Honeywell says the merger offers a broader and more robust portfolio of products and solutions to its customers. The new business will be led by David Paja as president of HSF, reporting to Alex Ismail, president and CEO of ACS. Paja, who joined Honeywell in 2003, most recently served as president of Honeywell Security Group. He also served as vice president and general manager for Honeywell Transportation Systems in China and India and has extensive global business, operational and marketing expertise. "This is an exciting opportunity for Honeywell and our customers," Honeywell said in a statement. "The creation of this new business unit underscores our continued commitment to strengthen the depth of our technology and product offerings. These businesses are a natural fit because of their shared long legacy of life-saving innovation that has made them leaders in the industry." Honeywell Sales leaders within the legacy HSG and HFS businesses will remain in place. www.honeywell.com
