ViewSonic Corp is targeting home cinema applications with the launch of its X1 and X2 high brightness LED projectors.
The projectors have 30,000-hour long lifespans and built-in Harman Kardon speakers, and are suited to home screenings of movies, live sports and for playing video games.
ViewSonic’s X1 model can be mounted on the ceiling and the short-throw X2 can sit on a tabletop, projecting a 100-in large screen from 1.53m away.
The X1 is equipped with a lens shift control knob for users to vertically adjust the image without needing to move the projector. With a 1.3x optical zoom lens, it provides flexibility when mounting the projector on the ceiling.
Both models offer 3,100 LED lumens of brightness and 125% Rec. 709 colour wide colour gamut, delivering HD resolution.
The X1 and X2 projectors provide a simple and intuitive setup. Featuring H/V keystone, four corner adjustment, and auto keystone, both projectors can provide perfectly-shaped images from the top and side views. Connection options include Wi-Fi and USB-C ports.
Bluetooth connectivity is also provided for audio options including wireless headsets and smartphones, which allow the projectors to essentially function as a sound system.
