Huawei says NearLink wireless tech’s speed and latency capabilities will leave rivals behind

Huawei is claiming to have a short-range wireless technology that could leave competitors WiFi and Bluetooth behind with six times higher speed and far lower latency.

The Chinese technology company officially launched its NearLink technology, a collective collaboration of more than 300 enterprises and institutions, last month.

Huawei says Nearlink uses a set of standards to integrate the advantages of traditional wireless technologies such as Bluetooth and WiFi.

It launches Nerlink with some strong claims, saying on its website: “Compared with traditional wireless connections, Huawei Nearlink has the advantages of 60% lower power consumption, six times higher speed, 1/30 delay, and 10 times higher number of network connections.”
