LG’s astounding Falls installation at CES demos the power of OLED technology

Pushing its consumer products at CES, LG welcomed visitors to its stand with a design that would be considered a masterclass in AV installation to demonstrate the capabilities of the technology used in LG’s consumer OLED TVs.

The LG OLED Falls installation featured 260 LG OLED digital signage screens in an undulating mixture of curved and flay configurations comprising 76 concave, 72 convex and 112 flat 55-in screens.

LG reported that the display was 20 feet high and 65 feet wide (6m x 20m) and displayed desert, waterfall, ocean and light scenes. It was supported by immersive audio to demonstrate the technology included in LG’s consumer OLED TVs.

Apart from wowing CES visitors, LG wanted the installation to convey the power of OLED, pointing out that, with no separate light source, OLED can be used to create screens light and thin enough to be rolled
