Vianeos and UDC launch 'O.room Residential' in The Pearl Island

Vianeos has announced its partnership with United Development Company (UDC) to provide residents of The Pearl Island, Qatar with an IPTV service.

The Pearl Island is an artificial island located off the coast of Doha, with 52,000 residents. ‘O.room Residential’ from Vianeos has been specifically designed to cater to the needs and preferences of the Island’s residents.

One of the standout features of the ‘O.room Residential’ product is its ability to connect to both the local Ethernet network for accessing local content and the wireless network for internet applications simultaneously. This design ensures residents enjoy a continuous and seamless viewing experience, granting them access to both local TV entertainment and their preferred internet content without interruptions. Furthermore, the ‘O.room Residential’ product offers customer and billing subscription management, allowing UDC to manage their subscribers and billing details.

Nasser Abdulla Al Harmi, executive director of human capital at UDC Qatar, said: “When we began envisioning the IPTV experience for our residents on The Pearl Island, our wish list was extensive, filled with unique requests we hoped to fulfill. Vianeos was the only company to rise to the challenge, offering practical solutions to bring our vision to life. We are extremely pleased with the outcome and our ability to provide our residents with a state-of-the-art IPTV experience."
