The Z-Wave Alliance, a standards organisation dedicated to promoting and developing Z-Wave wireless technology, will stage education sessions at CEDIA Expo in Denver this September.
The three sessions are focused on new market analysis and insight into smart home protocols. Mitch Klein, executive director of the Z-Wave Alliance, said: “We’re thrilled to be able to share our expertise and help dealers consider new verticals and business models that they may not have considered previously.”
The Z-Wave Alliance will host the three following education sessions at CEDIA Expo 2023:
Maximizing the smart home middle market
Wednesday, September 6, 2023 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM
CEDIA’s Integrated Home Market Analysis (IHMA), released in the spring of 2022, found that dealers overwhelmingly served the Uber Luxury and Luxury segments while only 40% served mid-market. The mid-market tier has a large addressable customer base. These potential clients are tech savvy with disposable income and yet, there are integrators not working in the middle market and do not yet have the skills to break into it.
Platform playground returns: smart home protocols in 2023 and integrator impact
Thursday, September 7, 2023, 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM
The Platform Playground panel aims to help integrators sort through the most important smart home news and updates. Topics to be discussed may include wireless mesh and sub-GHz networks, IoT Alliances, and open versus closed standards.
Smart system cuts hotel energy consumption by 20%
Thursday, September 7, 2023 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM
This session will use a case study to look into the benefits of smart systems for decreasing energy consumption while maintaining a suitable experience for inhabitants. This panel will further discuss familiar aspects where integrators can demonstrate expertise and the special considerations for large properties.
The CEDIA Expo will take place on the 7-9 of September 2023 in the colorado Convention Centre.
