ADI | Snap One has launched the next generation of the Control4 user experience.
The manufacturer and distributor of smart living tech aims to streamline programming and functionality with Control 4 X4.
The all-new control platform offers curated Routines, a redesigned Home Screen and user-friendly Widgets.
Jason Winchester, SVP chief product officer at ADI Global Distribution, said: “The Control4 experience has progressed from a programmed system into an intelligent, adaptable smart living experience.
“X4 is not a replacement for custom programming, but rather an enhancement that enables quick, easy setup and post-installation modifications.”
The fresh transition from OS to X4 enables integrators to set up preferences, schedules and navigation screens during initial system design for end users to modify as they go.
Built from the ground up, X4 manages ecosystems across an entire business, home or single room.
Routines such as light dimming and TV programming can be accomplished in seconds using the platform, while accessibility is improved with options to adjust text sizes and scale favourited device tiles.
Responding to consumer demand for improved control, Control4 X4 also introduces enhanced Apple HomeKit functionality for deeper integration with the Apple ecosystem.
Users can now manage the system via Apple CarPlay, iPhone Control Centre and Mac Desktop.
Scenes can also be launched with Siri voice commands.
Winchester said early feedback highlights the popularity of the new Home Screen and will shape the company’s continued investment in residential tech.
Control4 X4 will be on display at InfoComm Booth #3728 in Orlando, FL from June 11-13, 2025.
