Habitech, a value-added distributor of home entertainment and automation products is launching the Sonance Architectural Series “Discreet Opening Systemâ€, designed to match small aperture down-lights.
An evolution of the Sonance Architectural Series, the Discreet Opening System’, or DOS for short brings a new level of sonic performance, installation flexibility and minimal visual impact to the flush and trim-less speaker category.
Appealing to the architect and designer market, the DOS features a 4†(102mm) round or square grille that exactly matches the footprint of trim-less, flush down-lights to achieve continuous uninterrupted sight lines.
The system utilises four AS38RS 2-Way speakers combined with either one or two BPS6 bandpass subwoofers to deliver best-in-class clarity, detail and bass response. The satellites and subwoofer adopt the same grille size and shape for aesthetic consistency, while the configuration delivers greater audio consistency and superior tonality throughout the space.
The unique form-factor and mounting platform provides far greater positioning flexibility, allowing more accurate alignment and spacing with down-lights, and other ceiling fixtures.
For higher ceiling installations or for clients seeking very high volume levels, the AS68RS offers the same flush and trim-less aesthetic in a 6.5†2-Way speaker. The independently pivoting woofer and tweeter allow the speakers to achieve a seamless match with light fittings while sound is directed for optimum performance and coverage.
For those seeking the ultimate sonic performance, the BPS8 bandpass subwoofer can be combined with four AS68RS speakers to achieve the SPL of a large speaker system, but having a perfect flush-fit with the ceiling.
Built on cutting-edge technology and employing state-of-the-art materials, the AS38RS and AS68RS feature a ceramic dome tweeter and high-excursion carbon fibre and Rohacell® laminated woofer for natural accurate sound and minimal distortion across all listening levels. The BPS6 and BPS8 utilise a high excursion, dual-voice coil, carbon fibre and Rohacell laminated driver for deep, dynamic bass augmentation.
The TRUFIG®-inspired mounting platforms deliver a high-quality, repeatable installation process in drywall, plaster, wood and other solid surfaces, while the magnetic precision grille levelling system ensures a simple and perfectly-flush grille installation every time.
