Premium Audio Company (PAC) and Pioneer Corporation have confirmed they will not be renewing their home audio and cinema partnership agreement.
Following several years of collaboration, the two companies are ending a licensing deal that saw PAC develop and sell both Pioneer and Pioneer Elite products.
According to reports, PAC issued an email statement yesterday to confirm the separation.
In the statement, COO of PAC Vincent Bonacorsi said: “We are grateful for the opportunity to work with Pioneer and appreciate the collaboration we’ve had.
“After thoughtful discussions, we have mutually agreed to part ways and are now focused on the exciting next chapter of growing our core brands.
“Our commitment to delivering exceptional audio solutions and supporting our customers remains unwavering.”
The split is said to be applicable only to products marketed and sold by PAC - not including Pioneer brand automotive, headphones, wireless audio, television, professional audio or other managed by Pioneer Corporation/its licensing partners.
As a result, Pioneer will spearhead the future development of Pioneer and Pioneer Elite home audio and home theatre products.
PAC added it will support customers for all of the Pioneer and Pioneer Elite products it managed over the course of the partnership.
The two companies developed these two product lines in 2023 after Onkyo, licenser of the Pioneer brand, was renewed under PAC’s control.
