URC has released a two-way IP module for integration of its Total Control platform with Russound MBX Streaming Audio Solutions.
Supporting both the Russound MBX AMP and MBX PRE models, the module allows streaming services such as Spotify Connect, Tidal, Sirius XM, Deezer, TuneIn, and vTuner to be played on any Total Control User Interface.
Homeowners can now easily select and control songs, playlists and favourites, view metadata, browse content and manage groups. They can also set and recall favourite songs or playlists directly from any URC Total Control interface.
This integration follows the announcement of a module to control Russound’s MCA-Series amplifiers / controllers last November.
“We’re excited to be adding two-way integration of Russound’s MBX streaming audio solutions to our portfolio of Total Control integrations partners,” said Lars Granoe, URC vice president of product development. “This new module makes configuration of Russound’s MBX streaming products with URC’s Total Control smart automation and control system a breeze for trained and authorised dealers.”
Russound’s CEO, Charlie Porritt added: “The MBX Streaming Audio products are part of our Russound Certified Installer (RCI) programme, so just like URC’s Total Control system, these products are also sold only through trained and authorised dealers to ensure proper installation and configuration.
“Both companies are committed to the CI Channel, and expansion of our integration partnership makes logical sense for the CI community.”
