Antiference has introduced the new MINIMOD HC products, which provide a new approach to an old problem, building on the existing Conexer range of modulators.
With single or twin input options available these new MINIMOD HC modulators have the flexibility to adapt to a variety of installations using coax cable. These devices generate a digital TV channel from the HDMI source, which can be tuned with a digital TV set meaning the source device becomes another digital Freeview channel. The name of the channel can be set so it can be easily identified and the location in the channel guide can be set also meaning the newly generated channel can appear in a location chosen by the user if required.
The introduction of SKY Q into the marketplace has presented a new problem for SKY users who use the RF2 port to distribute the SKY services to other rooms in the home using the coax cable network. The new SKY Q receiver sees the end of the RF2 feature so a device is required to distribute the SKY to other rooms in the home. This is particularly interesting for SKY customers who have upgraded from SKY HD and have enjoyed the RF2 feature for many years.
The new MINIMOD HC devices offer an exciting solution to this problem offering the customer their services as they were before but with an upgrade to glorious HD quality pictures without changing the cable network already installed!
So how does the user control the SKY Q box now? Enter the Antiference Remotelink IR adaptor (RLIR) which can be connected into the system and features a handy stick on IR blaster enabling control of the SKY Q box from the remote locations in the home using Antiference ME200 magic eyes and SKY bypass amplifiers such as the Antiference Remotelink or 75 Series ranges.
