BluOS previews 4.0 update at CEDIA 2023

BluOS will show their 4.0 mobile controller app at booth 3516 in the Colorado Convention Centre, USA from September 7-9.

The redesigned interface of the app allows for better navigation, and improved search functionality. The navigation features a bottom navigation bar with identifiable icons for home, favourites, music, players, and search.

The favourites screen allows access to the user’s favourite content with options for playlists, artists, albums, songs, and stations. The music screen combines music sources, music services and device inputs all in one area so users can switch back and forth between connected zones.

Users can also toggle between the now playing and play queue screens, with new icons for grouping, and indicators for sampled audio quality and zone playing. Andrew Haines, BluOS product manager, said: "The complete transformation of the mobile app interface underscores our dedication to providing BluOS users with an impeccably smooth and cohesive experience."

BluOS manages stored and cloud music sources and playback, with support for audio streams up to 24bit/192kHz. BluOS allows for interoperability among enabled devices across brands and integrations with streaming music services like Tidal, Spotify, SoundMachine, and SiriusXM for Business, as well as featuring support for MQA, FLAC, AA.
