Recognising the new remote working trend following the global pandemic, Crestron has introduced a new smart home office companion, the UC-MM30-R Crestron Home Audio Conferencing System.
Combining enterprise-quality conferencing with complete home automation control, the MM30-R is a home office solution designed for the new work-from-home era.
According to Realtor.com, “Zoom Rooms” have become a new home trend, and in order for a home office to be successful, it needs robust and reliable technology to make conference calls easy and hassle-free. In response to this, the MM30-R has been designed to transform a home office into a suitable conferencing space.
The modern, low-profile design includes a 7” high-resolution touchscreen, a high-fidelity speaker, and four-microphone array that captures 360-degree, long-range pickup. The MM30-R can be launched for meetings from a PC or Mac device.
Using the touchscreen, users can control call volume as well as the entire Crestron Home system, including lights, TVs, thermostats, security cameras, and more. Homeowners can also customise any scenes and schedules made with the Crestron Home system to adjust any combination of devices at once.
An “On A Call” scene can be activated which brightens the lights, closes the shades, pauses music, and an indicator light outside the door turns red. When the call ends, the user can tap to start their “Off A Call” scene which then puts the room back to how it was before.
Users can call in using Microsoft Teams or Zoom Rooms, Slack, Google Meet, and other conferencing platforms.

No custom design or programming is required when the MM30-R is added to a Crestron Home system by a Crestron dealer. It can be connected via Wi-Fi or Ethernet communication links, with Power-over-Ethernet for remote management and monitoring.
