Denon has introduced the DHT-S216, its first all-in-one soundbar with DTS Virtual:X.
Using advanced 3D algorithms developed by DTS, the soundbar simulates a multichannel soundtrack played on a home cinema surround sound system, despite its small size form.
The Denon DHT-S216 comprises two three-in down-firing subwoofers, two racetrack-sized dual mid-range drivers and two one-in tweeters to deliver a dynamic theatre-quality experience in the home.
A new feature to Denon’s soundbar lineup, the DHT-S216 has Pure Mode, eliminating surround processing and removing any adjusted characteristics associated with movie, music, or night mode.
As well as using it for TV and movies, homeowners can also connect their smartphone or tablet to it via Bluetooth to stream music to the soundbar.
Easy to set up, the Denon DHT-S216 is wall-mountable and is compatible with all HD and 4K TVs using the HDMI cable provided to send audio from the smart TV and other connected sources via the HDMI ARC supporting 4K/60Hz and HDCP 2.2.
The soundbar can be controlled seamlessly with a TV remote when connected via HDMI ARC. If HDMI ARC is not available, the soundbar offers an optical input and can be wirelessly paired via Bluetooth to stream audio content.
“The latest soundbar from Denon has been engineered to deliver the most lifelike listening experience, including detail, balance and bass extension far beyond other soundbars in this size and price range,” commented Michael Grecko, global senior director of brand management at Denon.
“The DHT-S216 leverages partnerships with the industry’s leading virtual surround sound manufacturers like DTS and Dolby to provide people with a simple way to experience the excitement of cinematic sound quality at home.”
The DHT-S216 is available now via authorised Denon retailers from £199 / €219.
