ELAN’s new Intelligent Video Doorbell raises the bar in home automation, delivering complete and seamless integration with advanced features that add to the intelligent home experience.
Although video doorbells are increasing in popularity, many of them often require a separate app or do not fully integrate into home control systems.
However, the ELAN Intelligent Video Doorbell changes that, bringing intelligent features and adding peace-of-mind to the main access point of the home, according to Jeff Shaw, ELAN’s product manager.
He added: “Answering the door from anywhere is just the start. The Intelligent Video Doorbell integrates advanced motion analytics to accurately report real motion events rather than unimportant things such as swaying trees or passing shadows. This all but eliminates false alerts that may cause many users of doorbell cameras to turn off the notices altogether.”
The new doorbell doubles up to improve home security and add to the intelligent home experience using the camera as one of the ELAN system’s surveillance cameras, with video captured on the ELAN NVR. This is all controllable through the ELAN app.
Having the doorbell fully integrated with the control system, it enables integrators to create sequences of automated events, such as turning on lights when motion is detected during evening and night time hours.
Built in IntelliVision analytics offers improved mobile notifications, and event-based status notifications to further enhance the intelligent home experience.
The new doorbell is available in three colours – satin nickel, anodised black, and oil-rubbed bronze. For easy set up, the Intelligent Video Doorbell auto-discovers and auto-configures into the ELAN system.
