The LG Labs' DukeBox combines OLED TV with valve driven audio for a retro-modern reworking of the jukebox.
Dubbed the DukeBox by LG Labs, the concept fronts a speaker unit driven by old-school tube amp technology with a modern transparent OLED panel. LG’s experimental LG Labs arm is planning to show off a sound system called the DukeBox where the front-facing speakers and top-mounted 360-degree speakers are driven by a vacuum tube amplifier. The front face of the box is home to an OLED display panel with adjustable transparency that can be adjusted within the cabinet, or made more opaque for showing movies and shows.
Visitors to CES 2024 in Las Vegas from January 9-12 can check out LG Labs products at the company’s booth 16008, Central Hall, Las Vegas Convention Centre. LG will also be displaying and unveiling a smart robot for the home at CES, and you can check out the full release here.
