Nexgentec brings AoIP solutions to UK & EIRE through DbM

A new UK distribution partnership has been formed between DbM and nexgentec in order to bring high-quality audio over IP (AoIP) products and solutions to integrators working in the high-end residential and superyacht sector.

Nexgentec empowers the IP network for audio distribution using its pioneering implementation and bespoke innovations, including Dante and AES76 technology. Renowned for its reliability and high-performance, nexgentec’s range of digital signal processors, amplifiers, and digital and multichannel audio interfaces work together to distribute pristine audio signals from any source to any zone over a home or superyacht’s network infrastructure.

Patching and routing become logical functions configured in the nexgentec software, not via physical wired links. Loudspeakers can be connected via a single network cable and the nexgentec approach also eliminates the need and limitations of AV matrixes in traditional audio distribution systems while retaining the integrity and quality of the audio signal in transmission.

Nexgentec powered audio systems are also accessible remotely, giving integrators full control to resolve any issues quickly and efficiently without needing an in-person visit.

“Audio over IP is an increasingly popular option for integrators, seeking to offer a scalable, fully flexible and high-performance audio solution on their projects,” said Barry Sheldrick, director of sales at DbM. “Nexgentec is the innovative brand that’s spearheading the AoIP solution and we’re delighted to partner with them and supply their exceptional range into the UK and EIRE.

“Alongside DbM’s dedicated integrator support services, which include our Design and Specification Service, system calibration and final commissioning, we will make audio cabling, installation, commissioning and maintenance quicker, easier and much more efficient.”

Rico Vögeli, CEO of nexgentec added: “We want to optimise solutions that work for the end client, the specialist installer and for the environment. This is a challenging market, which demands the best and so helps us to find new and better solutions every day. We pioneered network-based audio solutions over seven years ago. Finally, the whole superyacht and high-end residential market is now ready for these innovations, and we look forward to working with DbM to substantially grow the UK presence for nexgentec AoIP.”

DbM will supply the UK and EIRE markets with the full range of nexgentec products and solutions and support the brand with training to help integrators in the design, specification, installation and commissioning of an AoIP network. The nexgentec range will also be added to DbM’s complimentary Design and Specification Service, which helps integrators specify the right products and solutions for their projects.

Integrators have the opportunity to find out more about the nexgentec brand as well as DbM’s other products at DbM Live which is taking place at Meridian’s HQ in Huntingdon, UK on Thursday 21 April.
