Melco Audio has upgraded the HA-N1Z/2EX-H50 (HDD) and HA-N1Z/2EX-S40 (SSD) flagship digital music libraries to include new and improved power supplies and new higher-performance single-drive storage.
With the N1Z series, audiophiles have the choice of either solid-state or hard disc storage, both specifically engineered for audio. The SSD-based HA-N1Z/2EX-S40 now features a high-performance 4 TB storage drive while the HDD-based HA-N1Z/2EX-H50 is supplied with a 5 TB unit.

The new and improved power supplies further enhance the sound performance on the N1Z Series, making the current generation better than it’s ever been.
The new models both feature the latest EX upgrades, as well as the recently launched firmware (v. 4.10), which adds Roon playback, plus a number of additional features, including markerless DSD compatibility for a greater number of devices, Twonky server stability improvements, and we page stability improvements.
Despite the various upgrades, the prices of the N1Z flagship machines remain unchanged. The HA-N1Z/2EX-H50 is priced at £5,249 and the HA-N1Z/2EX-S40 is £9,999.
